Rope Access Maintenance.
Scroby Sands wind farm is an offshore wind farm located 2.5km off the coast of Great Yarmouth on the Scroby Sands sandbank in the North Sea. The wind farm consists of 30 wind turbine generators, owned and operated by E.ON, and is the first commercial offshore wind farm in the UK.
Abfad Limited have provided rope access services to Scroby Sands on several big maintenance and refurbishment projects, both on the turbines themselves and the metrological mast which lies on the North of the wind farm.
We have put together a presentation (below) which highlights the wind farm and the work we undertook there, it features some great pictures we took during the projects showing all the work that was completed.
