Working At Height – Staying Safe With Rope Access
Working at height refers to work where any person carrying out a job is in a position which could see them fall a distance which could cause them injury. Working at height is one of the biggest causes of serious injury and remains the most common workplace fatality.
Established 1996!
This year Abfad will be celebrating 20 years as an established business in the UK. That’s 20 years providing innovative specialist services to solve industry problems, such as rope access services, emergency rescue and safety cover, solvent free single skin tank lining and double skin tank lining with our Fuelvac® system, pipeline corrosion prevention with our Pipevac® system, Weld Seam monitoring, and of course our fantastic Magnetic Positioning Aid.
Work With Stability, Confidence and Precision!
Abfad’s Magnetic Positioning Aid has proven invaluable in areas that can only be accessed by rope but need a reliable method of moving the rope technician closer to the working surface and anchoring them securely.
How do we Solve the Stability Issue for Rope Access?
Rope access has been around for many years now, generally considered as the best method for performing work at height and in difficult to reach locations. One thing has always remained a constant when it comes to performing work whilst suspended by rope, Newton’s third law of motion, which states: “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the team at ABFAD!
Abfad Team of the Week!

BASME Annual Conference 2015
On Tuesday 24th November 2015 we visited Hardwick Hall in County Durham for the BASME Annual Conference, where we were lucky enough to have a stand set up in the main conference hall.
We were there promoting our rope access services, tank lining, and our brand new Pipevac® system for prevention and monitoring of corrosion on pipelines, which was met with a very good reception and received some very positive feedback from people.

APEA Live 2015!
On November 5th 2015, at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, we exhibited at APEA Live 2015. The event was very successful and we met friends and clients past, present and, potentially, future.
The venue as always was great, as was the level and caliber of exhibitors and attendees. In fact the only down side was the long drive back to the North East once the show closed, but being Guy Fawkes Night meant we at least had several fireworks displays to watch whilst stuck in a long line of very slow moving traffic.
