Abfad and the power generation industry

Rope access services during shut downs

Abfad and power generation have gone hand in hand for over twenty years. Working in both power stations and CHP plants, we have a wealth of experience providing rope access and rescue cover services to this industry.

Abfad has won contract renewals with E.ON in power stations and CHP plants year after year.

We provide multi-discipline rope access services for maintenance, repair, inspection, working at height and confined space rescue and safety cover and many other works during power station shutdowns.

Mechanical trade services

Abfad can also provide mechanical trade services for all types of industry.

A key example of a project we worked on in this area is when we performed work in Harland & Wolff Shipyard. We installed 1,000 stiffening plates on a drilling vessel ram rig with approximately 50 welder/platers, working days and nights. These were all trained and supervised by Abfad personnel to perform the welding on the steel framework.
