Abfad has worked at Scroby Sands offshore wind farm on several big projects over the years, and earlier in 2015 we won another tender to remove the 40-metre lattice tower section of the Met Mast, which is located on the North side of the wind farm. This needed to be removed in manageable sections and lowered down to the mast walkway using a rope access pulley system we rigged up, and from the walkway to the service vessel, again using a rope access pulley system, where it would be taken away and disposed of.
